Hi everyone! Well, we've finally settled down to married life. It sort of seems the same since we've been together for so long. But at the same time, it's different.

We plan to have some wedding pictures up SOON. We recently got them back from the photographer and there are 26 rolls to go through. He did an incredible job and we're trying to pick "the best of" so we don't end up boring everyone with over 800 photos. Check back with us soon!

Well, we made it through Hurricane Isabel! We lost power and water late Thursday night. The power came back early Saturday morning. The water came back on late Friday but we had to boil it until we got the news on Sunday that it was okay to drink. Nothing like old-fashion camping in your own home. We had a lot of tree debris in our yard but, all in all, it could have been a lot worse. Allie worked at a Red Cross shelter on Saturday night and met a few residents who's home's were under 13 feet of water from the Potomac River. Not cool.

However, now that life is slowly returning to normal for the region, it's back to wedding planning again! Three weeks to go! Hope everyone is well and see you guys soon.

Whew! Sorry for the late updates! We've finally settled into our new home and have been busy planning for the wedding. 28 days left until our Big Day! We can't wait to see everyone who can make it. Thanks so much to our friends and family who could take time out of their schedules to come see us in October. We are very lucky.

We've moved into our new house and are now in the process of unpacking and sorting. Allie finished her finals and her first year of graduate work. She's decided to take the summer off from courses in order to spend more time planning for their wedding. Steve is very happy about this decision. :-)

The cats have adapted well to their new surroundings. Dax (having already moved six times) proceeded to immediately claim every room to be her territory. Kes (having only lived in one other home) was a bit more cautious during her first steps in the new home. For the first day, she hid in a small space behind the furnace. Now, especially since she's discovered "steps", she's deemed this entire house her racetrack.

We closed on our NEW HOUSE!
We were originally looking at houses further outside of the beltway because those seemed to have been within our range. Our realtor found this house 2 blocks over and 3 blocks up from our current house. It had come on the market at 5pm on a Tuesday. We saw it at 7pm and by 7:30 were writing up the contract. The owners have done such a wonderful job that it's in perfect move in condition! We hopefully will move in during the first weeks of May. Anyone want to help?
